Minister of Commerce inaugurates National Product Week – The Peninsula

Doha: Minister of Commerce and Industry H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani launched 1000 Opportunities Initiative which allows local investors to view the existing and future opportunities and projects.

The Minister also inaugurated the ‘National Product Week’ that aims to celebrate the success of Qatari companies and their products in various sectors, enhance efforts to localize supply chains, and support self-sufficiency. It includes a variety of events and activities over a seven-day period, including a conference that brings together a group of national shareholders and the most prominent actors in the Qatari economy to discuss a number of topics and issues related to national products.

The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa; Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive and Chairman of Qatar Tourism H E Akbar Al Baker; Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani; Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani; President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation ‘KAHRAMAA’ Engineer Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari and other dignitaries.

The ‘National Product Week’ will conclude on March 19.
