Amazon KSA unveils hiring program for female delivery associates

American e-commerce giant Amazon has introduced a recruitment program to create opportunities for women in partnership with delivery service partners in Saudi Arabia.

The new recruitment program will scale with opportunities for female last-mile delivery associates in Jizan, Al Qassim, Makkah, Madinah, and Al Hofuf. Through this initiative, Amazon reaffirms its commitment to enable Saudi women to build successful careers in the eCommerce logistics and delivery industries and expand its global efforts into Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, Amazon had launched the first phase of the program in 2021 in Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, and Dammam to create interest among women to work in the logistics industry.

In collaboration with delivery service partners, Amazon will train Saudi women in the appropriate logistics and skills, technology, and experience needed to succeed in delivery roles. Their routes will include deliveries to universities, hospitals, compounds, and schools, and will create more flexible working hours for these shifts to help balance their individual needs.
