The UAE has reinforced its global stature by achieving significant successes, most notably by advancing its healthcare system.

The UAE and the world celebrate the annual World Health Day on April 7, held this year under the theme, “Our Planet, Our Health,” to highlight the many related issues affecting humanity. Under this framework, the World Health Organisation (WHO) stressed that over 13 million deaths per year are caused by air pollution and water scarcity.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi (DOH), said this year, the world will celebrate World Health Day under the theme, “Our Planet, Our Earth,” to remind the people about the close link between the health of the planet and people’s health.

The achievements of Abu Dhabi in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the support and directives of its leadership, highlights its leadership and innovation in the healthcare sector, he added, noting that it is the preferred destination for many health companies and professionals.
