President of Uganda visits Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) today received a high-level business delegation led by President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda.

Museveni said that the UAE, specifically the Emirate of Sharjah, is held in high regard by Uganda and its people, expressing his appreciation for the emirate’s level of civilization and its economic leverage in the region.

He praised the successful economic vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The delegation was welcomed by H.E. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, SCCI’s Chairman, H.E. Abdullah Hassan Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Uganda, and H.E. Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, SCCI, as well as H.E. Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI. This is in addition to a number of SCCI members.

President Yoweri Museveni praised the role that the Sharjah Chamber plays in promoting bilateral economic relations and supporting the emirate’s reputation in the world of finance and business.
