‎Here’s a lowdown on foreign investor ownership changes in Tadawul-listed firms in FY2021/2022

Argaam recently launched a webpage dedicated to the foreign ownership that includes related data since June 2015.

In this report, Argaam monitors the changes in foreign investor ownership on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) since June 2021.

Foreign investor ownership includes the ownership percentage of foreign investors, whether residents or non-residents. This percentage includes any investments through swap agreements, but does not include the ownership of the foreign strategic investors.

Leejam Sports Co. (Fitness Time) was the top riser in terms of the percentage of foreign investor ownership, which increased 8.27% to 19.11% during the year. It was followed by Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB), where foreign investor ownership went up by 7.04% to 7.61%.

On the other hand, AXA Cooperative Insurance Co. led decliners in foreign ownership, dropping 18.45% after AXA Mediterranean Holding sold its 18% stake in the company to AXA Insurance Gulf. In addition, foreign investors cut their stakes in Saudi Enaya Cooperative insurance Co. by 10.83% to 7.27%.

Foreigners own over 5% of 82 Tadawul-listed companies, topped by Alinma Tokio Marine Co. with 29.59%. The table below shows the Tadawul-listed companies with highest foreign ownership:
