‘AGU’ appoints new scientific research and innovation deputy dean

Manama, AGU: The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) President Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly has recently issued a resolution to appoint Assistant Professor at the Department of Life Sciences in the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) Dr Noureddine Ben Khalaf as Deputy Dean of  Scientific Research and Innovation.With more than 15 years of experience in research and development in the field of health biotechnology, and holding a PhD in Biochemistry, Dr Ben Khalaf has worked since 2004 as an engineer for research and development at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis.In 2009, he worked as an associate scientist at the University of California, San Francisco, at the Centre for Discovery and Innovation in Parasitic Diseases (CDIPD), and the Small Molecule Discovery Centre (SMDC).Throughout his research and academic career, Dr Ben Khalaf published several research papers in scientific journals and supervised many Master's and PhD theses and dissertations.Dr Ben Khalaf's research interests revolve around biotechnology, therapeutic discoveries using bioinformatics, and molecular sciences.
