Bahrain News: Help youngsters make a change for the better – Gulf Digital News

I REFER to the most interesting and informative letter to the editor in the GDN on October 8, 2021 regarding the irresponsible use of key resources, and possible solutions to mitigate the problem.











I was aware of Bahrain topping the Arab world for the highest per capita food wastage, and I was extremely disappointed to also learn that Bahrain ranks higher than even our GCC neighbours in the consumption of electricity!





There are discussions ad nauseum regarding high electricity bills (despite the huge subsidies), perhaps addressing the issue by encouraging reduction in consumption and consequent reduction in costs might be a good place to start? Just saying .
