Tourist establishments like hotels, hotel apartments, furnished apartments and restaurants will start collecting a voluntary BD1 per invoice contribution from customers to support the National Council for Arts from next month, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority has announced. It said yesterday the voluntary contribution will be added to the checkout bill for customers and residents of hotels, hotel apartments and furnished apartments, and will be added to the bill for restaurant customers .
