BICT and BWM Programs of Bahrain Polytechnic receive accreditation by EQANIE

Bahrain Polytechnic Bachelor program in Information and Communication Technology (BICT) and the Bachelor program in Web Media (BWM), were awarded the Euro-Inf quality label accreditation from the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE). EQANIE provides a set of standards that identifies high-quality informatics and computer science degree programs in Europe and abroad. The general parts of the framework standards align with current best practices in higher education quality assurance, particularly with the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European higher education area (ESG 2015, Brussels, Belgium).The benefits of this accreditation include: the benchmarking of the program against other programs, the assurance that the program meets high international standards, and the additional quality label recognized by employers throughout Europe, as well as the reliable information on quality of the accredited Bachelor programs for admission to Master programs.On this occasion, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, congratulated the Polytechnic’s staff and students, confirming that “Such significant achievements of Bahrain Polytechnic enhance our sense of responsibility towards our students and the educational process, in order to elevate the Polytechnic to the ranks of major universities and international educational institutions.”Professor Ó Catháin called on all academic schools
