I READ in the media earlier this year – perhaps in April or May – that the elderly in Bahrain needed to take a second booster vaccine against the coronavirus (Covid-19). As a senior citizen who was infected with Covid-19 in June, via the Health Ministry’s online website-based messaging system I addressed the director of public health and three other senior executives listed therein, describing my condition and enquiring whether I needed to take my second booster shot immediately or I needed to wait 3-4 months .
