Motoring: Mercedes-Benz recalls vehicles in Bahrain – Gulf Digital News
MOTORISTS in Bahrain are being urged to comply with a global recall of nearly one million older Mercedes-Benz models due to a faulty braking system.
The Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry yesterday (June 13) said that the affected cars between 2004 and 2016 are of the SUV series ML and GL, and the R-Class luxury minivan.
The manufacturing defect is related to the brake booster function, said a statement adding that checks have been completed on 14 of the 271 vehicles.
“We are contacting the customers to perform the recall. Also uploaded in the Mercedes Benz Recall Bahrain website so that customers can check if the vehicle is affected by the recall,” said the ministry.
Al Haddad Motors has set up an online tool for customers to check if their vehicle is part of the recall.
