New Book by Dr. Malek Kaakour Explores ‘Philosophy of the State Facing Universal Technology’

The Awraq publishing house in Egypt recently released a new book titled "Philosophy of State Facing Universal Technology," by Lebanese journalist at Asharq Al-Awsat Dr. Malek Kaakour.

The book will be displayed with Awraq's new collection at its pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair scheduled for late June.

The 39-page book explores the risks facing the state as a result of technological advancement, which has almost become an authority, and the importance of maintaining one of the state's authorities, philosophically known as the "brain of society."

Kaakour discusses the philosophical paths of both technology and state, and the impact of each on the other amidst the technological advancement, information and digital revolutions, and virtual worlds that have breached boundaries and borders.

Philosophy is now facing many questions about the "state," especially since it came up with its meaning.

It is therefore responsible for determining the dangers surrounding the state and reshaping its role against this massive universal technology that has become an uncontrollable independent force that exists outside the state and is even more powerful than it.
