Motoring: Toyota Dream Car Art Contest receives incredible response – Gulf Digital News

A LARGE number of creative submissions have been received for the 15th edition of the annual ‘Toyota Dream Car Art Contest’ which ended yesterday.

The judging panel has begun shortlisting the winning entries from the three categories – under seven years, 8-11 years and 12-15 years – with each category having three winners who will receive cash prizes ranging from BD100 to BD250.

The latest edition of the competition, organised by Ebrahim K Kanoo, the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in Bahrain, was launched in November last year.

The winners will be announced at a later date, and the winning submissions will advance to the regional Toyota Dream Car Art Contest taking place in Dubai this year.

Winners of the regional contest advance to the ‘World Contest’ to be held in Japan.

Renowned local Bahraini artists Ali Mirza and Amina Al Abassi supported this year’s edition of the contest and provided inspiring tips and techniques to the participants.

“We are delighted with the incredible response this year’s edition has received and the genuinely inspirational artworks we have received,” said the company’s senior manager Ayman Shehadeh.

“Despite the ongoing challenges, art has again proven its therapeutic benefit to overcome obstacles.”
