Arab delegates approve Kuwait’s proposal on artificial intelligence

CAIRO: The Arab League, at the meeting of the 160th session of permanent delegates, approved Kuwait’s proposal to include an item in the field of artificial intelligence among resolutions to be submitted to the Arab foreign ministers on Wednesday. The permanent representative of Kuwait to the Arab League and Kuwait ambassador in Cairo, Ghanem Al-Ghanem, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the permanent delegates discussed the draft resolutions that will be submitted to the meeting at the level of foreign ministers.

Ambassador Al-Ghanem explained that the council approved Kuwait’s proposal to include an item on artificial intelligence due to its outstanding importance, which requires coordination and strengthening of joint cooperation between the concerned authorities and institutions in the member states. He stressed Kuwait’s keenness to support joint Arab action and enhance Arab cooperation.

In another development, the Arab Parliament extolled on Tuesday Saudi Arabia’s announcement of the establishment of the Global Water Organization, considering it a vital step for concerted Arab and international efforts to protect water security, especially since water security is an integral part of Arab and international national security.
