Science Club announces winners of science and engineering competition

KUWAIT: Kuwait Science Club announced the winners of the eighth Kuwait Science and Engineering Competition, which resulted in the victory of 10 scientific projects by 16 students out of 54 scientific projects submitted by 94 students belonging to 35 middle and secondary schools. In a press statement on Monday, the Chairman of the Club Talal Al-Kharafi, expressed his great happiness at the success of the eighth Kuwait Science and Engineering Competition, which is one of the main events of the National Program for the Welfare of Young Researchers and Innovators launched by Talal Al-Kharafi since 2015.

Kharafi said the success of the competition came as a result of concerted efforts between the club, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the ministry of education and all institutions concerned with scientific research, including Kuwait University, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, in addition to a team of Kuwaiti youth volunteers. He added that participants have completed innovative projects based on the methodology of scientific research, pointing out that these competitions and exhibitions encourage them to do more to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
