ASMED spearheads entrepreneurial support in South Batinah

In an effort to bolster entrepreneurial growth and youth training, ASMED held a meeting in South Batinah on Thursday.Muscat – In an effort to bolster entrepreneurial growth and youth training, Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) held a meeting in South Batinah on Thursday.

The session, aimed at discussing proposals and identifying solutions to the hurdles faced by entrepreneurs, took place at the Wali of Rustaq’s office. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 100 entrepreneurs from various sectors.

The meeting was graced by Masoud bin Saeed al Hashimi, Governor of South Batinah, and Halima bint Rashid al Zaria, Chairperson of ASMED. It witnessed wide participation of representatives from both public and private entities of the governorate.

The agenda focused on examining the authority’s strategic direction in key areas such as development, empowerment, financing, business opportunities and regulatory frameworks.

Discussions extended to exploring scope of business engagements, including tenders, contracts and procurement processes. These deliberations were part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial landscape and providing robust support to SMEs.

Faisal bin Abdul Aziz al Zadjali, Director of ASMED in South Batinah, elaborated on the authority’s ongoing efforts and the resources available to entrepreneurs, including business centres and incubators.
