ASMED to finance 300 Omani SMEs in 2024

The post ASMED to finance 300 Omani SMEs in 2024 appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.Muscat – At a press conference held to apprise media on the Authority’s strategic plans for 2024, Her Excellency Halima bint Rashid Al Zari’ee, Chairperson of ASMED, explained that SMEs received a total of RO 165 million from government companies affiliated with the Oman Investment Authority, and approximately RO 47 million from government agencies implementing the requirements of Tender Board during the last year.

Reviewing the Authority’s special indicators for the year 2023 and its strategic directions for the year 2024 in the field of enterprise development, finance and investment, and the promising Omani startups programme, Her Excellency stated that a total of RO 200 million has been allocated by the Future Fund to emerging companies wishing to invest during the next five years.The Authority seeks to embrace small and medium enterprises in the various governorates of Oman in cooperation with the relevant institutions in the government and private sectors.
