Forum focuses on efforts of government institutions in field of digital transition

Muscat: Tasks of the second edition of the Government Digital Transformation Forum 2024 began at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday. The two-day forum is organised by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology on the sidelines of COMEX Global Technology Show 2024. The opening ceremony of the forum was held under the auspices of Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology. The forum aims to highlight the efforts and achievements of government institutions in the field of digital transition. It showcases the best regional and global practices and anticipates future prospects for maximising benefits from innovative technical solutions and transferring knowledge. The forum also seeks ways to empower human resources to keep pace with global developments, provides an opportunity to exchange experiences in the fields of digital transition, enhances government relations and establishes partnership among government and private sectors. The forum deals with two main themes: (1) the realisation of comprehensive digital transition and (2) success stories in the field of digital transition and related partnerships among public and private sectors in Oman.
