More than RO 74 million worth of work assigned to SMEs in Duqm

The Special Economic Zone in Duqm has been supporting small and medium enterprises by committing to allocate 10 percent of projects to companies wishing to invest in the zone.

The post More than RO 74 million worth of work assigned to SMEs in Duqm appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT : Talal bin Saeed Al-Bartmani, a small and medium enterprise specialist at the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, explained that the zone offers a 50 percent reduction in the fees for all services provided to small and medium enterprises in the region.

He explained that over 130 activities are covered under the reduced fee for registration services in the commercial registry and licenses for entrepreneurs wishing to launch small and medium projects in the Special Economic Zone in Duqm.He added that the number of SMEs registered in the Zone reached about 981 by the end of 2023, and noted that the total value of the business assigned to these enterprises by companies operating in the region, from 2016 until 2023, amounted to RO 74.5 million, of which RO 6.7 million was during 2023.
