Oman: Salalah ranked second best destination in the region by New York Times – Gulf Digital News
Salalah, Oman's most popular tourist destination, has been included in The New York Times list of best international tourist destinations to be visited in 2023.
The city ranked 26th globally and second in the Arab world, coming in after Algeria, while London came first globally followed by Japan's Morioka.
The third-largest city in Oman, Salalah is located in the Dhofar Governorate and is the birthplace of the former sultan, Qaboos bin Said.
Its climatic conditions allows for the growth of a variety of fruits and vegetables.
