Omani innovators shine at tech exhibition in Kuala LumpurMuscat – The sultanate is celebrating remarkable achievements at the 24th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) held in Kuala Lumpur, with Omani participants securing accolades across various categories.

Tasnim bint Mohammed al Daoudia was awarded a gold medal for her project ‘Dilution of Heavy Oil Using Hydrogen Injection Technology’, which was recognised as the most innovative in the energy sector.

Imad bin Abdullah Bait Ubaidoun also clinched a gold medal for his ‘Water Treatment Using Electrochemical Method’, and Mazen bin Rashid al Badi took home a silver medal for his ‘Dr Robot’.

In the field of information technology, the Dohat Al Adab School team from Muscat won first place with their project ‘Using Hybrid Artificial Technology for Early Detection of Liver Cirrhosis’. Additionally, the Souda Umm al Mu’minin School team from Dhahirah earned a silver medal for their environmental project ‘Green Chemistry for Secondary Iron Manufacturing’.
