Muscat: A seminar on cyber resilience and data risk management was inaugurated by Davis Kallukaran, Managing Partner of Crowe Oman at the Park Inn Muscat. Welcoming the attendees, Davis said, "Online criminal forums, had existed for many years, but today those networks are thriving in part because of the unique circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. They look more like a corporate network now. This is a real threat." Vivek Sripuram of Happiest minds initiating the first session on cyber resilience and the role of vulnerability management said, "Network vulnerabilities are unfortunate and inevitable. Technological advances and software development result in a continuous cycle of new vulnerabilities and weaknesses in cyberinfrastructures. This, however, doesn't call for panic. Instead, organisations must manage their vulnerabilities as effectively as possible and boost their cyber resilience to avoid potential attacks."
