SMEs sector witnessing progress at a rapid pace, says ASMED Chief Halima Al Zari

More than 135,000 SMEs have been registered in Oman by the end of 2023.

“Riyada card holders represent 22% of the total SMEs registered at ASMED,” said Halima Rashid Al Zari, Chairperson of the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED).

Al Zari said that the SMEs sector in Oman is witnessing progress at a rapid pace. “The number of SMEs registered at ASMED increased by 30 percent by the end of 2023 to reach 135,064, compared to 104,141 in 2022,” she added.
