National Science Research and Innovation Week activities conclude



The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has affirmed that the advancement of scientific research is a strategic goal, in its quest to enhance the pillar of human development and to achieve the goals and objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The ministry noted Qatar's prominent and pioneering role in discovering and developing the potential of its students through their participation in various research activities and competitions inside and outside the country.

This came in a speech delivered on Thursday by the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed al-Ruwaili, at the conclusion of the activities of the National Science Research and Innovation Week 2022, which was organised in co-operation with Qatar National Research Fund of Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council.

During the closing ceremony, the students, schools and teachers who won the scientific research competitions in various categories and branches were honoured.

About 115 winners, including the students were presented by Vice President General, Rashid al-Sulaiti, the special prizes offered by Qatar Shell.

The names of the winning research students who will represent Qatar in international research competitions have also been announced.
