Ooredoo highlights job opportunities for Qatari graduates at virtual meet – The Peninsula

Doha: Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading provider of ICT and a major employer of Qatari talent, took part in a recent virtual careers event as part of its efforts to reach out to the next generation of young Qatari leaders.

UK virtual career day ‘Your Future Career’, organised by the Qatar Cultural Attaché’s Office of the Qatar Embassy in London, saw over 700 participating students.

A delegation of prominent Qatari employers from both the government and private sectors — including Ooredoo — was in attendance, with the aim of showcasing the myriad job opportunities available to graduates as well as scholarship opportunities for postgraduate studies.

Ooredoo Qatar’s human resources team — represented by Mariam Ahmed Al Hayki, Assistant Director Change & Culture, and Hamad Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Manager Talent Sourcing — delivered presentations to students participating in the event. Presentations covered topics such as the company’s organisational vision, its employment opportunities and career development programmes, particularly those for fresh graduates. Presentations were followed by a Q&A session in which students were given the opportunity to have their questions answered in an interactive format.
