QRDI signs two pacts to enhance innovation cooperation with Spain – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar Research Development and Innovation Council (QRDI) signed two memoranda of understanding with the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) in Spain.

The pacts aim to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences, build capabilities and facilitate communication between the two innovation systems in Qatar and Spain.

Secretary-General of QRDI Eng Omar Ali Al Ansari signed the first MoU with Minister for Science and Innovation of Spain H E Diana Morant, and the second MoU with General Director of CDTI, Javier Ponce Martinez.

The memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Science and Innovation, according to a statement issued by the council, is based on close bilateral relations and effective cooperation between the governments of Qatar and Spain. It aims to promote and develop joint work in the field of research and innovation, exchange knowledge and scientific and technological expertise, build institutional capacities and skills for the national system supporting innovation and the growth of the private sector and emerging companies based on advanced technology.
