QU launches annual AI Week to showcase innovation, digital solutions – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar University’s College of Engineering (QU-CENG) and the Artificial Intelligence Organization at Qatar University launched the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Week 2022 yesterday.

Sponsored by Vodafone as a platinum sponsor and Microsoft as a silver sponsor, the event will continue until March 16.

AI Week 2022 is a non-profit exhibition that includes local and global solutions for artificial intelligence.

This exhibition allows youth and local institutions to showcase their innovations and solutions in artificial intelligence. The exhibition is also accompanied by several workshops presented by specialists from all fields.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Khaled Kamal Naji, Dean of QU College of Engineering, said, “This event will highlight the role of students and their ability to create distinctive and innovative events and launch an initiative that will contribute to meeting the Qatari society’s need for human resources in artificial intelligence. This event will also have a positive impact on the youth and students by expanding their awareness of the solutions available in artificial intelligence and how they work.”

Dr. Naji also stressed the cooperation between students and faculty members at the College of Engineering and what they can offer through this event, adding, “The event aims to contribute to achieving the organisation’s goal of spreading
