Alkhorayef Water wins $432mln O&M contracts in Riyadh

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies has won long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for three sewage treatment plants in Riyadh from the state-run National Water Company (NWC).

The 15-year contracts are valued at 1.62 billion Saudi riyals ($431.84 million), the company said in a statement to the Saudi stock exchange.

The three plants under the O&M contract are Manfouha North, Manfouha East and Manfouha Phase 4 sewage treatment plants.

The statement noted that the rehabilitation works will be completed in two phases over 36 months in conjunction with a 180-month O&M contract.

The total design treatment capacity of the three plants stands at 700,000 cubic metres per day.

In March, Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies won three O&M contracts worth SAR 184.3 million ($49.04 million) from NWC.
