UAE: Single-digit UAE number plate auctioned for a record Dh23.3 million! – Gulf Digital News

Single-digit vehicle plate number 2 with code 2 was auctioned in the UAE for a record Dh23.3 million!

The number plate was sold during the second Most Noble Numbers charity auction held in Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace, Khaleej Times reported.

The unique plate witnessed fierce competition and the bid was finally closed at Dh23,300,000.

All proceeds of the auction will go towards the ‘1 Billion Meals’ initiative, organised by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) to provide food support to the underprivileged and undernourished.

Before the second edition of the auction, the initiative had collected Dh200 million in donations, equivalent to 200 million meals, from 232,000 donors to date.

The first auction, which was held in Dubai on Saturday, collected a total of Dh53 million.
