UAE’s dnata unveils innovative drone technology to improve cargo services

One of the world’s largest air services providers, UAE-based Dubai National Air Transport Association (dnata) has revealed that it continues to invest in cutting-edge technology to increase productivity and provide the best services to its clients.

The company has collaborated with Gather AI, a US-based technology startup, and launched autonomous drones in its Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) warehouses,  in order to digitize acceptance and warehouse inventory operations by monitoring shipments with 99.8 percent accuracy.

Gather AI’s cutting-edge software allows drones to map the environment, collect inventory data, count cases, measure temperature, and read barcodes all using their cameras, without the need of active infrastructure.

The drones are connected to a tablet device to display real-time inventory information. The collected data can be viewed directly on the tablet or the web, through a user-friendly application.
