Cycling: Bike Zone riders excel – Gulf Digital News

Hussain Mohammed Ali of the Bike Zone team won the second stage of the Nasser Bin Hamad Cycling Tour for Amateurs yesterday following an outstanding performance throughout the race.

Ali was followed by Abdulla Al Majed of the Giant Team, while the third place went to Jassim Mohammed Hussain of the Bike Zone team.

Ali claimed the yellow jersey after clocking the best time, and he also earned the red jersey after amassing the highest number of points. The blue jersey went to Hussain.

Yasser Al Baluchi of Dubai Police won the race at the GCC level, followed by Sa’ad Thani and Mazin Al Shuti in the second and third positions respectively.

The Tour, being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, features more than 200 cyclists from Bahrain and other GCC countries.

The three-day event is organised by the Bahrain Cycling Association in collaboration with Faaliyat.
