DIFC signs FinTech agreement with China’s Fintech Dreamworks

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has inked an agreement with China's Jiaozi Fintech Dreamworks, one of the leading Fintech innovation and entrepreneurship hubs.





The agreement aims to enable the UAE to further support 'Belt and Road' economic initiative and deepen DIFC's relationship with the international financial community, according to a recent press release.





Under the MOU, DIFC and Jiaozi Fintech Dreamworks, located in Chengdu which has reportedly been the world's first city to introduce paper banknotes, will also jointly host events and training programmes.





To become home to more than 300 FinTech companies, Fintech Dreamworks will collaborate with DIFC to help FinTech firms in both Dubai and Chengdu to exchange expertise and have access to the markets.





The CEO of DIFC, Arif Amiri, said: "DIFC is particularly looking forward to collaborating with Jiaozi Fintech Dreamworks on key sectors such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud Computing."





Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Jiaozi Fintech Dreamwork, Wang Juan, remarked: "With a robust Chinese ecosystem including the regional headquarters of China's four largest banks, we are confident that our agreement will benefit the Jiaozi Fintech Dreamworks community by helping them tap into new opportunities."
