H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, received a delegation from the National Library and Archives (NLA), led by Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director-General of the NLA.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan was briefed about NLA’s strategic plan for 2022 to 2025, which aims to maintain the progress and innovation that lead to outstanding outcomes in different areas and serve the people.

It also highlighted the ongoing work to prepare the national library, which will preserve the UAE’s cultural and intellectual legacy, to make it a world-class library in terms of appearance and substance.

Sheikh Hamdan also learnt about the major improvements and innovative methods that enable the NLA to protect the UAE’s government records and historical documents, as well as launch initiatives that aim to make documents accessible for policy-makers and researchers.
