UAE-based startup Omooma secures $2.5mn in latest funding round

UAE-based female health Arabic online content platform Omooma has secured $2.5 million in initial funding from the region’s leading investment company E20 Investment.

Omooma is the world’s first Arabic-language online content producer and provider dedicated to pregnancy, maternity, and motherhood and tailored for the Arab culture and religious norms.

According to the statement, E20 will remain the sole investor in the startup and has committed to further funding for future growth.

Currently, the platform features over 15 hours of video content that includes 21 courses and more than 250 videos with an average duration of between 2-8 minutes.

Omooma plans to double the volume of its exclusive content by the end of 2022. The price for the courses depends on the topic, length of the video, and other variables and it ranges from $28 to $165.
