UAE Business: Big 5 expo to attract over 2,000 global firms, 55,000 experts – Gulf Digital News

The Big 5, a leading global construction industry event, will open its doors on December 5 at Dubai World Trade Centre, attracting 2,000 exhibitors and 55,000 global attendees from more than 150 countries into the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region which has a whopping $3.5 trillion worth of projects under way.

According to ABiQ, the event’s Knowledge Partner, the combined value of projects in the Middle East and Africa is $6.5 trillion, with around $2.9 trillion in the pipeline. The total value equates to 138% of the region’s GDP. ABiQ pointed out that the Middle East alone accounted for $3.5 trillion worth of the total combined MEA value, while North Africa is responsible for $879 billion.

With a 42-year legacy, The Big 5 is the largest and most influential building and construction event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and the annual meeting hub for the global construction industry, said the organisers, dmg events.

The upcoming event will attract a host of industry professionals, disruptors, innovators, suppliers, stakeholders, ESG advisors and international policymakers, it stated.

The Big 5 will this year focus on eight major product segments, as well as host six specialized events addressing key construction sectors.
