UAE Business: Transguard invests $3.54m in environmental initiatives – Gulf Digital News

Business solutions provider Transguard Group has invested AED13 million ($3.54 million) in environmental initiatives, which has seen a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 1,946 metric tonnes from 2020 to 2021.

In its 2022 Sustainability Report the company said a solar panel project has been implemented in one of Transguard’s accommodations that feeds power back to the Dewa grid nine months of the year.

The firm has generated 729,005 kWh of clean energy through the Shams Dubai Initiative and its collaboration with Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) has resulted in more than 111 kg of plastic handed over as part of the “Let’s Reduce and Recycle” campaign.

Free sanitary products

Transguard is providing free sanitary products to all female site-based employees and distributing of more than 5,000 welcome kits, which includes toiletries and other essentials, for new site-based employees since January 2022.

The firm organised 4,493 recreational activities for site- and HQ-based employees from April 2021 to October 2022. It launched the transguardgroup.com/internalvacancies, a page exclusively dedicated to internal promotions.

Some 3.5 million training hours were clocked at Transguard’s Centre of Excellence since 2017 the firm

won CSR Advanced Label certification from Dubai Chamber in October 2021.
