The Ministry of Investment of the UAE and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology of the Republic of India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), setting out a framework for the expansion of bilateral investment cooperation in the digital infrastructure sector, with a special emphasis on data centre projects in India.

The memorandum marks a significant step towards the development of opportunities in digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence between both nations. This reflects the lead taken by the UAE and India in furthering regional and digital connectivity. The MoU was signed by Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment, and Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India on behalf of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology of India.
