UAE ranks first on Arab, regional level in communications technology
UAE – Mubasher: The UAE has maintained its first position among the Arab and regional countries in a number of information and communications technology (ICT) related indicators, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) citing the Global Innovation Index Report 2020.
The UAE was placed in the first position on the Arab and regional level in the ICTs pillar, ICT Access indicator, and ICT Use indicator, which evaluate the development in telecommunications infrastructure globally as the main enabler for innovation.
Meanwhile, the UAE topped the Arab region in generic top-level domains (gTLDs) and in country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs), which measure technological interaction in the countries.
