Bahrain keen to attract more Russian tourists

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated in the Moscow City Virtual Exhibition for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as part of its strategy to promote the Kingdom as an ideal tourist destination in the region. Part of BTEA’s objectives is also to head towards the world’s most exporting markets for tourists, including the Russian market. The Kingdom’s delegation was headed by Fatima Al Serafy, BTEA Executive Vice President. Al Serafy gave a presentation to the participants, including travel and tourism companies and operators in the Russian tourism sector; about the outstanding potential of the tourism sector in Bahrain; the most prominent destinations and attractions in the Kingdom; as well as the innovative and diverse tourism programmes offered by BTEA to visitors to the Kingdom. She affirmed the keenness of BTEA to strengthen relations between Bahrain and Russia at all levels particularly in the field of tourism and to work on various initiatives that would increase exchange tourism between the two sides.
