New hotels to put Bahrain on global tourism map

Bahrain aims to build a first-of-its-kind tourist city in the Southern Governorate spanning over 5.7 million square metres. It features five-star properties, housing projects, commercial districts and high-quality facilities to attract tourists from across the world. It also includes an integrated entertainment city in addition to housing units and high-quality facilities that meet the needs of the family. Details of the project were revealed yesterday by Mumtalakat chief executive Khalid Al Rumaihi during a Press briefing held at the Arcapita headquarters in Bahrain Bay. “Five new hotels will be opened across Bahrain including the Address Marassi Al Bahrain Hotel and The Address Residences in close proximity to luxury shops and stunning sea views,” he said. “The hotel will have 10 floors and 117 rooms – including 20 luxurious suites – in addition to business facilities, a spa, a sports centre, swimming pools and a gaming area. “The Address Residences comprises a commercial complex, a waterfront wide walkway as well as residential facilities that consist of 10 floors and 155 residences which is directly connected to Marassi Galleria.” Mr Al Rumaihi said that the project is expected to open in February next year.
