Egypt, Serbia share strong relations in tourism sector: Minister

Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa said that Egypt and Serbia have strong bilateral relations in the field of tourism and antiquities.

Issa met on Tuesday with a media delegation from Serbia, which includes a number of representatives of the major daily, weekly and electronic Serbian outlets and the most popular and watched television channels in the country.

The Serbian visit was organised by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB) from 28 December to 4 January. This visit comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to promote the Egyptian tourist destinations and to open new markets.

Amr Al-Qadi, CEO of the ETPB, and Youmna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Technical Affairs, attended the meeting.

The Minister started the meeting by welcoming the delegation, as well as reviewing the tourist and archaeological elements that the Egyptian tourist destination enjoys, where the tourist can enjoy the bright sun, picturesque nature and sunny beaches, and get acquainted with the ancient Egyptian civilization, stressing that the Egyptian tourist destination attracts various segments of tourists who are looking for Integrated and multiple tourism experiences and patterns, as it attracts fans of cultural tourism, beach and recreational tourism, family tourism, adventure tourism and others.
