EaseMyTrip, an online travel company and one of the newest entrants to India’s exponentially growing startup unicorn club, plans to expand operations in the UAE and other GCC countries as part of a new global expansion drive.

The travel company, whose market value surpassed $1 billion recently, plans to establish its air ticketing services in the UAE as it expects a surge in global travel and tourism demand in the coming months as COVID-19 travel restrictions are being lifted in many parts of the world.

As an initial readiness to the regional push, EaseMyTravel has launched a localized travel search engine in the UAE to enable the customers in the Gulf region to enjoy its services including end-to-end travel solutions ranging from air tickets, hotels and holiday packages, rail tickets & bus tickets to ancillary value-added services.

According to reports, the company has a long relationship with the UAE, as it had engaged previously with the tourism boards of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Oman. In its efforts to increase its footprint in the market, the company has also provided considerable help to the Saudi tourism board.
