Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways to launch new route to Turkistan

Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways will launch a new route to Turkistan, initiating its second service to Kazakhstan. The twice-weekly service will connect pilgrims and tourists for the first time with direct flights between the Middle East and the Central Asian country. The new service will commence on December 3. Flight J9 635 will depart from Kuwait on Mondays and Saturdays and land at the Hazrat Sultan International Airport (HAS). Return flight J9 636 will depart from Turkistan on Tuesdays and Sundays. HSA was inaugurated in 2020 with a capacity of three million passengers annually. “We are very pleased to be continuing our expansion and serving a significant demand from CIS countries for travel to the Middle East, specifically for pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, thanks to our frequent connecting flights to Medinah, Jeddah and Taif,” said Rohit Ramachandran, chief executive officer at Jazeera Airways. “Turkistan also attracts religious tourism and these flights will provide customers with convenient connections through our network.”
