Nassar briefs Aoun on recommendations of tourism conference in Jbeil

NNA - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met Tourism Minister, Engineer Walid Nassar, today at Baabda Palace.

Minister Nassar briefed the President on the recommendations issued by the tourism conference held in Jbeil a few days ago, and the formation of a committee to follow up on the agreements. Moreover, Minister Nassar stated that the ministry will host the Executive Board of the Council of Europe for tourism and cultural itineraries, and will organize visits for the members of the board in various Lebanese districts to learn about tourism facilities and cooperate in future tourism projects.  

The Tourism Minister also pointed out that a celebration will be held in the town of Bkassine after it was elected one of the most beautiful villages in the world by the World Tourism Organization.  

Finally, Minister Nassar presented to President Aoun the program of Lebanon's festivals that will be held in the commercial center of the capital.

For his part, President Aoun praised the activities carried out by Minister Nassar, and stressed the importance of tourism work despite the difficult conditions that Lebanon is going through.—Presidency Press Office
