Air India Express resumes normal services from Muscat



Muscat: The operations of Air India Express slowly started improving on Friday with more cabin crew members joining back for duty, after significant flight disruptions.On Saturday, Air India Express flights to Calicut (2.15 am), Mumbai (7.25 am), Kannur (9.45 am), and Lucknow (10.33 am) departed almost on time while same was expected of flights to Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Mangalore.The disruptions affected the travel plans of many outbound and inbound passengers who were forced to opt for refunds, change dates, or book tickets on other airlines for higher prices.The strike by a section of the cabin crew on Tuesday night that resulted in the cancellation of more than 170 flights was called off on Thursday evening after the airline withdrew termination letters issued to 25 striking cabin crew.The airline, which operates around 380 flights daily, has curtailed operations in the wake of the strike and the official on Friday said, normalcy is expected in the next two days.resume duty, the official added.The official also said that most international flights are in the evening time and the operations on that front are expected to be better from Friday onwards with the availability of more cabin crew.
