Cruise ship with 2,340 passengers docks at Salalah Port

Muscat – Port of Salalah in Dhofar received cruise ship ‘Zuiderdam’ with 2,340 passengers on board on Sunday. Over 1,500 disembarked for sightseeing in Salalah.

The tourist programme of the ship, which came from the Egyptian port of Safaga, heading to Victoria, Seychelles, included tours to the famous archaeological sites in the governorate of Dhofar, besides visiting beaches and traditional markets in the wilayat of Salalah.

Oman receives many cruise ships each year, thanks to its location overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman.
