The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) is inviting bids for the management and operations of Al Mansour Fort in South Batinah governorateMuscat – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) is inviting bids for the management and operations of Al Mansour Fort in South Batinah governorate. 

Companies interested in promoting this historical site for cultural and heritage tourism are invited to submit detailed proposals by February 15, 2024.

In a statement, MHT outlined specific requirements for the bids. Interested parties should present a clear action plan outlining their approach to manage and operating the site.

Bids should include detailed information on organisational structure, shareholders, partners and previously completed projects.

MHT emphasises the promotion of forts, while thoroughly documenting and presenting the historical significance of these sites and devising robust marketing strategies. Proposals must underscore the architectural uniqueness of the forts and actively involve the local community in cultural and social events.

Historically rich South Batinah is a hub of heritage attractions and is home to several castles and forts. The Al Mansour Fort, located the wilayat of Rustaq, is an architectural masterpiece built by Imam Saeed Ahmad bin Saeed al Busaidi in the year 1204 AH.
