MHT launches tourism hub for travel partners in Oman

Muscat – In a bid to give a fillip to the tourism industry, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism on Sunday launched an e-learning platform for employees of local destination management companies and the hospitality industry of the sultanate.

The Oman Tourism Hub platform will serves as a valuable resource for partners in the travel and tourism sector across Oman, stated the ministry.

H E Azzan Qasim al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Tourism at MHT, underlined the platform’s mission to provide strategic guidance and promotional plans to local travel partners. “Our goal is to maintain an up-to-date database of local partners, fostering business growth while serving as an essential source of information and education.”

The platform offers a range of valuable features. Firstly, the educational section provides training courses covering marketing strategies and the unique aspects of Oman’s tourism offerings. Secondly, it features a calendar of events and seminars organised by the ministry.

The platform also includes a section dedicated to the development of tourist trip programmes. This aims to guide tour operators in enhancing and diversifying their offerings to cater to tourists visiting different governorates.
