Omani tourists need to pay $10 tax in Bali: Embassy

Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Jakarta said that all foreign tourists, including Omani citizens, planning to visit the Republic of Indonesia must pay $10 or 150,000 Indonesian rupees as a tax.Certain categories of people are exempted from paying the tax imposed by the Bali Provincial Government, which includes holders of diplomatic and official visas, crew of transport vehicles, holders of a temporary residence card (KITAS), or a permanent residence card (KITAP), student visa holders and golden visa holders.International visitors now have to pay this amount on top of the usual $50 for a visa on arrival. The tax can be paid by visiting the Love Bali website, lovebali.baliprov.go.id, or downloading the Love Bali app.To pay, travellers must enter details including their passport number, arrival date, and full name. They will then be emailed a voucher to present on arrival.The money will be used to make tourism in Bali more sustainable. It will go towards better waste management and the preservation of local culture and the environment.It will also be channelled into building quality infrastructure and transportation.
