Farooqui assumed his current role in 2020. Cruise Saudi is fully owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The country’s investment arm launched Cruise Saudi to build Saudi Arabia’s offshore and onshore cruise ecosystem and to position it as a premier global cruise destination. Cruise Saudi recently announced its collaboration with hotel brand Aman to develop a new 183-meter ultraluxury yacht aimed at High Net Worth passengers. Farooqui is also a chief advisor to the Saudi Minister of Culture and a board member of flyadeal and the Saudi Sports for All Federation.
